Appearing at the East Coast Jazz Festival is always
a homecoming for me
the friends I have made over the years make me feel as
though it's a family reunion. I wanted this performance to reflect my growth as
an artist and as a person. In overcoming numerous challenges and changes in the
past few years, I wanted to share the joy and strength I've achieved, with the
support of my family and friends. Many thanks to Dan Lamaestra for his ideas
and creativity. Also, thanks to Myles, Aaron and Bill for their musical gifts.
Thanks to Jeff at Blue House for capturing it all. Thanks to Harold Becton,
Ronnie Wells, Candy Leney, Ilona Richey, and Diane Daly for your friendship,
wisdom and encouragement. Thanks to my children, Michelle and Greg, for
embracing creativity and music (and their unconventional parents) in their
lives. And above all, thanks to my husband Tom, for your absolute faith in me,
your love, and your willingness to always "go for it". To all of you, Here's To
Life! |
